TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Daredevil Robert Craig "Evel" Knievel has filed a suit in Florida accusing rapper Kanye West of violating his trademark image in a music video.
The St. Petersburg Times reported that the iconic daredevil alleged that the "Late Registration" rapper copied his trademark-protected image without permission in his video for "Touch the Sky."
The suit filed in federal court adds that the music video, which features West in a star-spangled jumpsuit crossing a canyon on a rocket, tarnished Knievel's image through its use of vulgar content.
"The guy just disgraced me," Knievel said of the video.
"I have done the best I can to set an example for children, and then this guy comes along and tries to rip it apart," he added.
The Times said the lawsuit also names Roc-A-Fella Records and music video director Chris Milk. Knievel is seeking millions of dollars and a stop to all airings of the music video.
