Paul McCartney must tear down his cabin

PEASMARSH, England, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Former Beatle Paul McCartney has been given six months to dismantle his unauthorized $2 million cabin on his East Sussex estate.

McCartney built the cabin about three years ago on his 933-acre estate, near Peasmarsh, East Sussex, and now he must tear down the two-bedroom structure cabin, The Telegraph reported Wednesday.

The cabin and another pavilion, which overlooks a lake turned into a wildlife sanctuary by McCartney and his late wife Linda, has been the subject of a yearlong planning dispute.

Rother District Council's planning committee is expected to approve an enforcement notice Thursday, stating that the cabin must be gone by June 30.
