LOS ANGELES, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Director Chad Lowe has confessed he still loves his ex-wife, Hollywood actress Hillary Swank, despite the fact she revealed personal information about him.
The 38-year-old director admitted that while Swank publicly discussed his previous problem with substance abuse, he will always love the "Million Dollar Baby" actress, People magazine reported.
"I was disappointed that the details of our relationship became public," said Lowe, who is set to make his directorial debut with the film "Beautiful Ohio."
"She was the love of my life, and that's not something you just shut off," he added. "I will always love her."
Lowe admitted Swank's comments were based in fact and the substance abuse problems that plagued him 3 1/2 years ago played an integral role in the end of the couple's eight-year marriage, the magazine reported.
People said the couple split this January and after their attempts at reconciliation failed, the cinematic duo revealed they were divorcing in May.
