Bonfire of Fox DVDs planned in New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- A New Mexico man is planning to burn DVDs of Fox television shows to protest the network's plans to air a controversial interview with O.J, Simpson.

Marc Campbell, who owns a video store and cafe in Taos, N.M., says he is outraged about the impending promotion of Simpson's book, "If I did it, Here's How it Happened" on Fox, The Albuquerque Journal reports.

Simpson, a former professional football player, was acquitted of the 1994 killings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman.

Campbell says he'll burn between 400 and 500 DVDs of Fox's most popular shows at 4 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of his store.

"I just couldn't stand by and not do something to demonstrate my outrage at Fox paying some $3 million to a murderer to do the interviews and promote his book," Campbell told the Journal. "It may be only symbolic, but maybe other people will stand up and fight Fox on this."
