Robbie Williams may record with ABBA

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- British pop singer Robbie Williams is said to be in negotiations with the iconic Swedish band ABBA to record one of the group's classic hits together.

The 32-year-old former Take That member has been in talks with former ABBA member Anni-Frid Lyngstad for a possible joint musical project revisiting of one of the band's hit songs, Britain's Daily Star reported.

The pair has reportedly been discussing the possibility that the band, which broke up in 1983, could reunite and take a collaborative effort to the studio for a release.

"Robbie and I talked about doing an ABBA hit together," said Lyngstad. "He has not yet come back on that one."

During their 10-year career together as ABBA, Lyngstad, Agnetha Faltskog, Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus recorded several top songs including "Waterloo" and "Dancing Queen."
