Snoop Dogg joins MTV Europe Music Awards

COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- When the MTV Europe Music Awards are held on Nov. 2, rapper Snoop Dogg will be among those performing at the annual awards ceremony.

The West Coast rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was signed by MTV Networks International recently to perform at the awards presentation in Copenhagen, Denmark, Daily Variety reported Wednesday.

Also signing to perform on the awards show was eclectic singer Rihanna, who joins fellow performers the Killers, Diddy, Keane, Nelly Furtado, Muse and the event's host Justin Timberlake.

Italian pop star Tiziano Ferro, film actor Adrien Brody and music producer Timbaland are scheduled to appear as presenters.

Variety said that in addition to signing Rihanna and Snoop Dogg, MTV Networks International recently promoted Jamie Caring, who will now oversee the company's music strategy in several nations as its senior vice president of talent and music.
