In the Thea Sharrock-directed production, Radcliffe takes on the role of troubled groomsman Alan Strang, a role made famous made BBC actor Peter Firth in the original production of the play.

As part of the upcoming production, Radcliffe will also have to perform his first nude scene with 60 select audience members on stage with him, while remaining onlookers will have to be content with typical theater seats.

The Daily Mail said that joining Radcliffe, who is currently working on "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," in the stage production will be actor Richard Griffiths, who played Potter's Uncle Vernon in the "Harry Potter" films.
