VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Canadian filmmaker Patrick Stark is seeking a double of screen legend Errol Flynn to appear in his his biopic, "Members Only."
While there is no shortage of dashing young actors to portray Flynn in his heyday, the Vancouver, British Columbia, director is stuck with the challenge of finding someone who looks like Flynn after a lifetime of substance abuse, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp., said.
"I've got to find somebody who actually looks older than 50 -- probably 60, 65 -- looks so you can see that person had good looks at one time," Stark said. "But he's got to exude charm and charisma to (play) Errol on film."
Flynn died while in Vancouver with his 17-year-old girlfriend in 1959. He was only 50, but looked much older due to alcohol and drug abuse.
Stark's film credits include "An Unfinished Life" and "X-Men: The Last Stand."
