LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Paramount Pictures' new animated film "Flushed Away" will make its world premiere at the upcoming 10th edition of the Hollywood Film Festival.
The Los Angeles event, which runs from Oct. 18-23, will debut the first computer-animated film from the traditional stop-motion studio Aardman Animation during its fifth night, said Daily Variety.
Also set to premiere alongside "Flushed Away" at the annual event will be the new family film "Flicka," which will debut opening night at Hollywood's Arclight theater, and "Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride: Hunter S. Thompson on Film" from Starz, which will be screened on Oct. 19, the report said.
Headlining the festival's 2006 honorees will be director Oliver Stone, who will be honored with limited screenings of several of his most popular films and an open discussion with the famed film head.
Daily Variety reported event execs have also teamed with Film Threat to offer a three days of horror films as part of the Hollywood Horror, Sci Fi and Fantasy Festival showcase, which will run from Oct. 20-22.
