FORT LEE, N.J., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Max B, a sometimes performer with hip-hoppers Dipset, has been arrested in a Fort Lee, N.J., motel killing.
Born Charles Wingate, Max B was arrested Friday for allegedly masterminding the death of David Taylor, 29, of Florida, Sohh.com said. Taylor died during a failed robbery attempt of him and his assumed business partner Allan Plowden, 42, Sept. 22, Sohh.com said.
Prosecutors in Bergen County, N.J. tell the Newark Star-Ledger there were actually two gangs of robbers who went after Plowden Taylor.
Wingate allegedly was enlisted to help in the robbery by his girlfriend, who had been introduced to the victims by two other men in a Bronx nightclub.
Four others were arrested on robbery conspiracy charges in the incident, Sohh.com said, but none was initially charged in the man's death. They have pleaded not guilty.
Others arrested were Maite Castro, 23; Gisselle Nieves, 24; Julio Cruz, 27, Edward Blancaneaux,30, Sohh.com said. Authorities said Plowden was charged with money laundering and identity theft-related charges, Sohh.com said.
