HOLLYWOOD, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Sam Raimi has been selected to produce the film adaptation of the offbeat superhero comic "ArchEnemies."
"ArchEnemies" revolves around a pair of apartment roommates who don't know that one is the superhero Star Fighter and the other is his nemesis villain, The Underlord.
Drew Melbourne, who created the illustrated odd couple, told Zap2it.com Monday that the story line should appeal to an audience that likes both comic book fantasy and mundane chores required in getting along with people.
"As Star Fighter and the Underlord, they hate each other," said Melbourne. "But as grudging roommates Ethan Baxter and Vincent Darko, they hate each other even more."
Raimi is no stranger to comic adaptation. He is in post-production on the third "Spiderman" epic and will then move on to casting for "ArchEnemies."
