LOS ANGELES, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- HBO, the U.S. cable TV network, has picked up a fourth season of its popular half-hour buddy comedy, "Entourage."
Jeremy Piven won a best supporting actor Emmy for his role as smarmy Hollywood agent Ari Gold, who was fired by his client Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) at the end of the last episode.
The network ordered 12 new episodes of the "standout hit," HBO Entertainment President Carolyn Strauss told Zap2it.com. "Thanks to a terrific cast and razor-sharp writing and directing, this smart, funny show has become a genuine phenomenon."
In addition to Grenier and Piven, the show stars Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon and Jerry Ferrara.
Season three will pick up with eight additional episodes in early 2007, Zap2it.com said. No timetable has been announced for the fourth season.
