Storch, Nox recording bilingual rap album

NEW YORK, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Hip-hop producer Scott Storch and Philadelphia rapper Nox have begun work on a bilingual rap album as part of Nox's new deal with Atlantic Records.

Storch, who works with musical stars such as Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, signed the 23-year-old rapper, whose real name is René Pichardo, with Atlantic, said AllHipHop.com.

"I'm working on a bilingual project with Scott," said the rapper, who lived in Puerto Rico until 1990. "It's English, Spanish. I'm Latin so, there's a lot of street music, a lot of just fun music at the same time, club music."

While the rapper said he hopes to release the new album next summer, Storch said the pressure on Nox to have a hit has become a formidable challenge.

"It's not easy, because every time you want to have a new experience with each song and you don't want to sound like each one is the same song," he told the Web site. "It's a continual battle to come out with that hot beat."
