Commemorative Beatles stamps on the way

LONDON, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- A six-image set of commemorative Beatles stamps is being created in England to mark the band's contribution to the country's pop culture scene.

Each of the stamps will feature a photo from the band's album covers, including George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr walking across Abbey Road, the Mirror reported Tuesday. Other stamps will show the collage on "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and the band members displaying semaphore signals on "Help!"

A spokesman for the Royal Mail said, "The set commemorates the band that stands for all that's great in popular culture."
