LOS ANGELES, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Brendan Fraser has signed to reprise his role as an American serving in the French Foreign Legion in a second sequel to "The Mummy."
Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are writing the "Mummy" script for Universal, moviehole.net reported.

The studio wants to focus more this time on the family of Fraser's character, Rick O'Connell. Son Alex O'Connell will take on the remains of China's Emperor Qin Shihuang, who wants revenge on those who turned his team into stone centuries ago.
