LONDON, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- British actor Rupert Everett reveals intimate details about female stars, including Madonna, in his autobiography excerpted in London's Daily Mail.
In "Red Carpets and Other Banana Skins," a memoir to be released in January, Everett, 47, describes his close friendships with some of the most famous actresses, including Susan Sarandon, Beatrice Dalle and Sharon Stone, ABC reports.
In this week's Daily Mail excerpts, Everett recounts his first meeting with Madonna in the mid-1980s when she was dating her future husband, Sean Penn. Everett said Madonna was sexually overwhelming.
"At the restaurant, Sean and I were sitting, waiting. Outside, there was a flurry as she walked from her car. The door blew open and the Immaculate Conception was among us," Everett wrote.
"In those early years, there was no male who would not want to bed her. I lost myself in Madonna's attention and by the end, I had fallen in love," said Everett who is now openly gay.
Everett played Julia Roberts' gay friend in "My Best Friend's Wedding" and Christopher Marlowe in "Shakespeare in Love." More recently, he has been the treacherous Prince Charming in "Shrek."
