Benefit guitar auction for 'Dimebag Darrel

WASHINGTON, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Guitars hand-decorated by rock luminaries will be auctioned in Washington in a benefit to honor slain rocker "Dimebag Darrell" Abbott.

The 66 instruments painted by the likes of ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, Ace Frehly of KISS, Metallica's Kirk Hammett and Dave Novarro, the host of CBS TV's "Rock Star: Supernova," will go to the highest bidders Sept. 17 during the Family Values concert at the Nissan Pavillion.
