Artie Lange movie set to open

NEW YORK, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Comedian Artie Lange appears to be a hot property this year with a movie opening in the United States next month and a role on the HBO series, "Entourage."

Lange told the New York Post that "Artie Lange's Beer League" is close to his own life. The movie -- about a 30-plus man still living with his mother in North Jersey -- is scheduled to open Sept. 15.

"I would really be the character in this movie if I hadn't broken into show business," he said.

Lange has spent five years working with Howard Stern on his radio show, and appeared in the movies "Dirty Work" and "Old School." His most recent movie also got him the role on "Entourage."

Lange said Stern has been giving him a hard time on the air but says that's just the show.

"He's the best boss I've ever had," he said. "On the air he teases, but he'll be at the opening."
