Duchovny shy about kissing director's wife

NEW YORK, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Actor David Duchovny says kissing Julianne Moore in "Trust the Man" was awkward since Moore's husband directed the romantic comedy.

Duchovny and Moore play a married couple in the film, written and directed by Bart Freundlich and in theaters Friday.

"The only weird moments were being in the cab and having to do a little kissy scene with Julianne and Bart is three feet away behind the camera," Duchovny told reporters in New York. "Julianne was funny because she would say, 'He would get mad at me!' I was like, '(He)

wrote it!' It didn't matter."

Friends in real life after co-starring in the 2001 comedy, "Evolution," Duchovny and Moore were apparently able to overcome their uneasiness.

"Yeah, we're both pros, but you never know," Duchovny said, revealing how he, the director and the actress discussed before-hand exactly how they thought the kiss should occur. "It's always hard to know what is going to look right on camera."
