Report: Tori blasts Candy Spelling

NEW YORK, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Actress and reality show celebrity Tori Spelling claims her mother is trying to exclude from a tribute to her father at the Emmy Awards, a report says.

At a barbecue hosted by the actress and her husband, actor Dean McDermott, Tori Spelling allegedly went on a rant against her estranged mother, Candy Spelling, the New York Daily News reported Tuesday, citing an unnamed source.

Spelling claims that Candy spelling was trying to exclude her from the planned Aug. 27 tribute to her dad, who died in June, the newspaper said.

Tori insists that her alleged barbecue rant must have been misunderstood, the Post said. "It is not true," she said through her publicist.

A tribute to Aaron Spelling on ABC this fall and was to be hosted by Tori, will not happen due to Candy Spelling blocking the project, a People magazine report said, also citing an unnamed source.
