Sony and MGM to make 'Pink Panther' sequel

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Sony and MGM are moving ahead with a Hollywood sequel to "The Pink Panther," hiring Scott Neustadter and Michael M. Weber to write the script.

The two writers just sold their anti-romantic comedy "(500) Days of Summer" to Fox Searchlight, with Mark Waters and Jessica Tuchinsky attached to produce along with Mason Novick, the Hollywood Reporter said Thursday.
