SALT LAKE CITY, July 25 (UPI) -- Seventy-four-time "Jeopardy" champion Ken Jennings of Salt Lake City posted a letter on his Web Site harpooning the TV show despite his $2.5-million winnings.
Jennings called the show's question categories "effete, left-coast crap nobody's ever heard of," the New York Post reported.
"I mean, wake me up when you come up with something that middle America actually cares about," Jennings wrote.
The software engineer who made 2004 headlines for his record wins also was contemptuous of host Alex Trebek, the Post said. "I know, I know, the old folks love him," Jennings wrote.
"Nobody knows (Trebek) died in that fiery truck crash a few years back and was immediately replaced with the Trebektron 4000," he wrote.
"You know how Trebek likes to read foreign words in these thick, strained accents, thinking he's being muy autentico?" Jennings continued.
Jennings disapproved of the studio decor, as well, saying, "damn electric blue everywhere...Was that hip in 1984?"
The one positive note was that the "Jeopardy" prize money was covering college tuition for his children.
