First ever HBO Comedy Festival

NEW YORK, July 18 (UPI) -- HBO started accepting submissions for live performances for their HBO Comedy Festival, on Tuesday.

The first ever HBO Comedy Festival will be held in Aspen, Colo., from February 28 to March 4, 2007, HBO said in a press release.

This marks the first year of the Festival, with a mission of discovery, innovation and tribute. The event will present new talent, writers and filmmakers as well as feature appearances and performances by some of the stars in the comedy world.

The cable network is accepting applications until November 6, 2006.
