The new chief operating officer will also take over some of the duties of Rob Moore, the executive who oversees worldwide marketing and distribution and business affairs.

Moore will add overseeing Paramount Home Entertainment and the Paramount Digital Media Group to his list of duties, so that he can focus more on distribution and the digital operations of the studio.

He also works closely with the chief executive of DreamWorks animation Jeffrey Katzenberg.

Paramount is DreamWorks' theater and home video movie distributor.
