TOKYO, July 12 (UPI) -- Weezer vocalist Rivers Cuomo says his move to Japan is probably the swan song for the California rock band.
"Well, the band is all back in Los Angeles, and I sometimes I speak with Patrick (Wilson), and I occasionally e-mail with Brian (Bell) and Scott (Shriner), but we've never mentioned getting together," Cuomo told MTV.com. "Really, for the moment, we are done. And I'm not certain we'll ever make a record again, unless it becomes really obvious to me that we need to do one."
Cuomo, 36, recently graduated from Harvard and last month, he got married and moved with his bride to her parents' house in southern Japan.
The singer said with all the changes in his life, he has been "feeling pretty creative and excited" and writing lot of new songs but does not see a solo career in his future.
"I don't know what'll happen with these songs -- if anything -- I just sort of write them and I can't stop," he told MTV.com. "I certainly don't see them becoming Weezer songs, and I don't really see the point of a solo career. So we'll just have to see."
