Chalke signs onto 'Mama's Boy'

LOS ANGELES, June 20 (UPI) -- Canadian-born actress Sarah Chalke from the TV series "Scrubs" has signed onto Warner Independent's newest film "Mama's Boy."

The actress, who plays Dr. Elliot Reid on the hit comedy TV series, will join the film's already strong line-up of performers, including its star Jon Heder from the 2004 hit "Napoleon Dynamite," zap2it.com reports.

The Tim Hamilton-helmed picture also stars Diane Keaton, Anna Faris, Dorian Missick, and Jeff Daniels.

According to the Web site, "Mama's Boy" focuses on Heder's slacker character, whose life is drastically changed when his mother, played by Keaton, begins to visit Daniels' self-help guru character.
