'Sexyback' will precede Timberlake album

NEW YORK, June 19 (UPI) -- While his new album won't debut in North America until Sept. 12, singer Justin Timberlake has plans to release a single earlier to give fans a preview.

The single "Sexyback" will be released to radio outlets across the country July 7, allowing listeners to preview Timberlake's second solo album "FutureSex/LoveSounds," Billboard reports.

The new album from Timberlake is a follow-up to his first solo album "Justified," which sold over 3.5 million albums after originally debuting second on the Billboard Top 200.

"I can't explain it, that's how dope it is," album collaborator "will.i.am" of the Black Eyed Peas told Billboard.com last January regarding the album. "He just surprised me again. I was surprised that I was even going to like Justin Timberlake. Then he turned me into a fan, and I've become a fan. That means you are so talented that you are changing people's vocabulary."

According to Billboard, Timberlake also has plans to begin a U.S. club tour in August to promote the album.
