Rock supergroup reforming for Bonnaroo

MANCHESTER, Tenn., June 16 (UPI) -- Oysterhead, one of rock's recent "supergroups," will re-launch itself at this weekend's Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.

The group -- whose lineup includes Phish's Trey Anastasio, Les Claypool of Primus and former Police drummer Stewart Copeland -- is to perform Friday night. It marks the first time the trio has regrouped since its 2001 album, "The Grand Pecking Order."

"Our plan was always to be kind of an intermittent band," Copeland says, "to come down from the mountain about every five years or so, and the five years are up. The stars are aligned."

Copeland says Oysterhead is making "wild plans of what we're going to do next -- pretty normal plans, actually. Album. Tour."

Other acts at this year's Bonnaroo festival include Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Radiohead, Beck, Elvis Costello and Matisyahu.

Some of the performances will be streamed live and archived online at blueroom.att.com.
