NEW YORK, June 13 (UPI) -- Two rape victims wept and applauded as a New York jury found the same man who raped actress Kelly McGillis more than 20 years ago guilty of their attack.
Johnson, who was one of two men convicted of raping the "Top Gun" star, was convicted of raping the two women in their Greenwich Village apartment, the New York Post reported Tuesday.
The former roommates testified Johnson forced his way into their apartment Nov. 18, 1996, tied them up and raped them at knifepoint, after telling them they would enjoy the attack.
Johnson was only 15 when he and another man raped McGillis at knifepoint in her apartment in 1982, the Post said.
McGillis, who went on to star in "Top Gun," "Witness," and "The Accused," identified the rapists from mug shots.
"I wanted those guys caught," she said later. "I wanted to hurt them as much as they hurt me."
