Thurman to star in Perelman thriller

LOS ANGELES, June 9 (UPI) -- Ukrainian director Vadim Perelman has found a leading lady for his newest film "In Bloom" -- actress Uma Thurman.

The film, based on Laura Kasischke's book "The Life Before Her Eyes," follows a woman who survives a school shooting only to have her life fall apart, the Daily Variety reports.

"In Bloom" marks the second straight novel-based movie for Perelman, who directed "House of Sand and Fog" in 2003.

The film begins shooting in August. Thurman can soon be seen in the comedy "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" with Luke Wilson.
