LOS ANGELES, June 8 (UPI) -- Los Angeles-based 20th Century Fox has closed a deal with the creators of the hit series "24" to produce a feature film based on the TV show.
Creators Robert Cochran and Joel Surnow signed off on the movie deal and will write the film's script as well, the Daily Variety reports.

Kiefer Sutherland, star of "24," has not signed on for the film yet, but has made it clear he was interested if the movie was greenlit, it was reported. "24" has run for five seasons on Fox.
While details of the movie version have been kept under wraps so far, Variety reports the movie will likely continue from the point that the sixth season of the show will leave off.
