Drama surrounding 'The Illusionist'

LOS ANGELES, June 5 (UPI) -- A sequel to the nastiest movie credit skirmish ever is now under way, featuring the same producers involved in a battle over credits for "Crash."

Los Angeles Superior Judge James Dunn issued an order last week, blocking Bob Yari from removing Cathy Schulman's producer credit on "The Illusionist," a new drama starring Edward Norton as a turn-of-the-century magician.

Schulman was listed as one of the film's five producers when "The Illusionist" premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival.

Yari lawyer James S. Schreier did not dispute Yari wanted to remove their credits, but said the move was necessitated by Schulman and Nunan's breaking their contract with Yari.

Schulman, who shared a best picture Oscar with Paul Haggis for "Crash," has been involved in a pre-existing legal flap that has both she and Yari suing each other.
