LOS ANGELES, May 11 (UPI) -- Peter Sarsgaard, Regina King, John C. Reilly and Laura Dern are in talks to join Molly Shannon in the latest Hollywood comedy from Mike White.
"Year of the Dog" will also be directed by White, who penned the Jack Black vehicle "School of Rock," The Hollywood Reporter said.

Shannon has been cast as Peggy, a satisfied-with-life secretary, who goes on "a journey of transformation" after her beloved dog dies, The Reporter said.
The film is scheduled to start filming in Los Angeles next month and several A-list comedians are expected to appear in cameo roles.
