Jack Black to star in 'Be Kind Rewind'

LOS ANGELES, May 2 (UPI) -- Actor/musician Jack Black has been cast as the quirky lead in Michel Gondry's comedy "Be Kind Rewind," it was reported Tuesday.

Black will portray a junkyard worker whose magnetized brain destroys all the tapes in his friend's video store. The two then set about remaking their own versions of "The Lion King," "Rush Hour," "Back to the Future" and "Robocop," The Hollywood Reporter said.
