Coldplay leads pack with three Ivor nods

LONDON, April 24 (UPI) -- British rockers Coldplay garnered three nods when the Ivor Novello songwriting awards nominees were revealed in London Monday.

"Speed of Sound" was nominated for international hit of the year and most performed work and the single, "Fix You," was nominated for best song musically and lyrically, the BBC reported.

James Blunt's international hit, "You're Beautiful" was nominated in two categories while Kaiser Chiefs, Gorillaz, KT Tunstall, the Arctic Monkeys , Robbie Williams, and Natalie Imbruglia all received nods as well.

The 51st Ivor Novello songwriting awards presented by the British Academy of Composers and Songwriters and the Performing Right Society will be announced May 25 at London's Grosvenor House.
