Winnie the Pooh gets a Hollywood star

LOS ANGELES, April 12 (UPI) -- Winnie the Pooh has received the 2,308th star along Hollywood's Walk of Fame in a ceremony attended by Walt Disney Co. chief Robert Iger.

Tuesday's ceremony coincided with the DVD release of "Pooh's Grand Adventure," KABC-TV, Los Angeles, reported.

Besides Iger, the "silly old bear" was supported at the ceremony by his old friends Tigger, Eeyore and Rabbit.

Other Disney characters with stars along the famed walk include Snow White, Donald Duck and of course, Micky Mouse.
