NEW YORK, April 7 (UPI) -- W Magazine says it will print an apology in next month's issue for misquoting teen actress and singer Lindsay Lohan.
In an article appearing in this month's W, Lohan is quoted as saying her mother and siblings visit her estranged father in jail on a regular basis. Michael Lohan is serving time for several unrelated crimes, including assault and drunken driving.
"Lindsay Lohan did not tell the writer of the cover story that her mother and siblings has visited her father in jail," her attorney, Jay Lavely, told TMZ.com. "The fact is, there have been no such visits whatsoever."
Writer Kevin West has acknowledged he made a mistake in his notes, the attorney said. The magazine has agreed to print a retraction and an apology.
The family has had several restraining orders issued against Michael Lohan.
