Morello organized many benefit concerts and participated in civil-disobedience movements to support workers' rights through the years, MTV noted. Among the causes he supported were a strike by Los Angeles janitors, the Immokalee, Fla., farm workers' campaign against Taco Bell and the Southern California grocery workers' strike and lockout.

Glover is being honored for his support of hotel workers and their families and Terkel will be acknowledged for his working that "lifts up the voices of America's working people," American Rights at Work said in a news release.
