Super Bowl halftime relatively tame

DETROIT, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- ABC twice bleeped Mick Jagger during the Rolling Stones halftime show at Super Bowl XL in Detroit.

Jagger's mic went silent for single word sexual references in "Start Me Up" and "Rough Justice," but the network apparently had no trouble with the frontman's bare midriff and legendary hip swivels.

As far as Super Bowl halftime "malfunctions" go, Sunday night's performance was exactly what ABC needed, the Los Angeles Times noted.

Jagger, 62, even joked about his band's longevity, introducing the 1965 hit, "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," by saying: "Here's one we could have done at Super Bowl I. But everything comes to he who waits."
