LONDON, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- John "Johnny Rotten" Lydon is reportedly considering one last Sex Pistols blowout in Japan, it was reported Thursday.
Lydon and surviving band mates Steve Jones, Glen Matlock and Paul Cook have been approached to reunite the groundbreaking punk rock act for a single show in Japan, contactmusic.com reported.
Lydon said the feuding band mates were considering filming the performance as well.
"There's been an offer in Japan ... we might do it (because) the money's great, but secondly it can be filmed and that can be an end-piece," Lydon said.
The group last appeared together in 1996. Lydon said their mutual hatred makes for good theater on stage.
"We like the fact that we dislike each other," he said. "In a weird way it makes us like each other all the more. It's so brazenly in-your-face honest between us. I love being on stage with those chaps -- and I wouldn't be seen dead with them off.
"And they'd tell you the same about me."
