R. Kelly leads Soul Train Awards nods

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 2 (UPI) -- R. Kelly received three nods to lead all nominees for the 20th annual Soul Train Music Awards announced Thursday in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet" saga earned nods for best R&B/soul single by a male artist and best R&B/soul or rap video, and his "TP.3 Reloaded" was nominated as best male R&B/soul album, Billboard.com reported.

Stevie Wonder will present Kelly with the first-ever Stevie Wonder Award for outstanding career achievement in songwriting.

Destiny's Child and Jamie Foxx were tapped for the Quincy Jones Award for outstanding career achievements and John Legend will get the Sammy Davis Jr. Award for Entertainer of the Year.

Legend, Mariah Carey, Charlie Wilson, Keyshia Cole, Missy Elliott and the Black Eyed Peas were all nominated in dual categories, Billboard.com said.

The Soul Train Music Awards will taped March 4 at California's Pasadena Civic Auditorium for national syndication the week of March 11.
