David Schwimmer to make Broadway debut

NEW YORK, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- "Friends" star David Schwimmer is making his Broadway debut in a revival of Herman Wouk's "The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial."

Schwimmer makes his debut as Lt. Barney Greenwald in previews starting April 14 with an official opening set for May 7, Playbill reported Tuesday.

Schwimmer co-founded Chicago's Lookingglass Theatre Company and appeared in a number of Windy City productions including "The Master and Margarita," "West," "The Jungle," "Eye of the Beholder" and "The Odyssey."

He made his London debut in Neil LaBute's "Some Girls."

Among his screen credits are "Duane Hopwood," "Band of Brothers," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Uprising," "Six Days Seven Nights," "Apt Pupil" and "The Pallbearer."

"The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial" first appeared on Broadway in 1954 and was made into a film starring Humphrey Bogart.
