LOS ANGELES, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Felicity Huffman won the Golden Globe for best actress in a drama and Philip Seymour Hoffman won the top dramatic actor prize for "Capote" Monday night.
"I really wanted to hold it together and say smart things," the sobbing star of "Transamerica" said.
"I can tell I'm boring you, it's going to get better," she said as she rattled off her list of thank-yous. "Not really."
"This movie is about coming home to your family and ultimately to yourself," she said. " ... I want to thank my family, 'Desperate Housewives.'"
"I wish there was a podium so you couldn't see my knees shaking," Hoffman said. "The two men I made this film with, (screenplay writer) Danny Futterman and (director) Bennett Miller are two of the smartest men I know."
