NEW YORK, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Sony is producing CBS' upcoming series "Monkey Business" and using the series for some cross promotion for its musical artists.
The dramedy starring Tom Cavanaugh as a record company exec will feature guest stars such as Paul Shaffer, Leann Rimes, Aimee Mann, James Blunt, Robbers on High Street and Ben Folds, Zap2it.com reported Tuesday.

The show is set to premiere Jan. 17.
Sony newbie, Teddy Geiger, whose debut album is scheduled for March release, will kick off the series as an artist Cavanagh's character, Tom Farrell, is trying to sign, Zap2it.com reported.
Look for more big rock names to hop aboard for planned episode featuring the campaign to save New York's punk rock club CBGB.
