LOS ANGELES, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- "Saturday Night Live" alumnus Tracy Morgan has agreed to star in an NBC pilot written by his old cast mate, Tina Fey.
Morgan will star in the show-within-a-show, The Hollywood Reporter said Friday -- an untitled comedy that takes place behind the scenes of an "SNL" type show.

The pilot has been on NBC's development roster for months, but Fey's busy schedule -- and the recent birth of her daughter -- had pushed back the start of the project.
Morgan was on "SNL" from 1996 to 2003.
