NEW YORK, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- NBC News Division acting President Steve Capus can now drop the "acting" from his title.
The appointment of Capus, 42, was announced Tuesday by NBC Universal Television Group President Jeff Zucker, the New York Times reported Wednesday. Capus is in charge of NBC News as well as cable's MSNBC and its accompanying Web site.

Earlier this month, NBC became the first TV network to rerun its evening newscast on the Internet. The network is expected to follow suit with "Today" and "Meet the Press," the Times said.
