SYDNEY, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Australian tennis star Lleyton Hewitt and his soap opera star wife, Rebecca Cartwright, are the parents of a daughter.
The baby was born early Tuesday at Sydney's Royal North Shore private hospital, the Melbourne Herald Sun reported.

Hewitt had been earlier quoted as saying they were sure the infant would be a boy, they had already decided to call him Cody, the newspaper said.
The little girl's name was not revealed and there was speculation it would be withheld -- since the couple signed a $1 million deal giving a women's magazine first rights to information about and photos of the infant.
Lleyton, 24, asked Cartwright, 22, to marry him last year -- the night he lost the final match in the Australian Open.
