Daniel Radcliffe is Britain's richest teen

LONDON, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Daniel "Harry Potter" Radcliffe is Britain's richest teenager with a fortune of 23 million pounds ($39.6 million).

The 16-year-old actor dethroned singer Charlotte Church, worth an estimated 10 million pounds ($17.2 million) after signing an 8 million pound ($13.7 million) contract for the fifth "Harry Potter" film, the Daily Mail reported.

The figures were revealed in financial records filed last week by Gilmore Jacobs, the firm Radcliffe's parents set up to manage his finances, the newspaper said.
