Scarlett Johansson to take nanny role

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson has been tapped for the starring role in the film version of the best-selling novel, "The Nanny Diaries."

Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini are in talks with the Weinstein Co. to direct the film from their script, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Former nannies Nicola Kraus and Emma McLaughlin penned the story of a college student who goes to work for "the family from hell."

Johansson will play the nanny aptly named Nan, who juggles the household's marital woes, her classes, a romance and a spoiled ward, the Reporter said.
