Stars line up to see 'Jersey Boys'

NEW YORK, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, actors from "The Sopranos" and three original members of the Four Seasons came out to see the new Broadway musical, "Jersey Boys."

Celebrated by most New York critics, the show is about the birth and life of the Four Seasons, one of the most popular U.S. singing groups of all time.

It opened Sunday at the August Wilson Theatre and sold more than $1 million in single ticket sales between Sunday and Wednesday morning.

Attending the show's opening night were original Four Seasons members Tommy DeVito, Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio.

Danny Aiello, Frankie Avalon, Dick Cavett, David Chase, New Jersey Gov. Richard Codey, Jamie-Lynn Discala, Edie Falco, Dennis Farina, Joanna Gleason, Michael Imperioli, John Lithgow, Elaine May, Cousin Brucie Morrow, Bebe Neuwirth, Vincent Pastore, Neil Sedaka, Paul Shaffer, Tony Sirico, Tommy Tune, Steve Tyrell, Steve Van Zandt and Frank Vincent also attended the star-studded event.

Valli is scheduled to discuss his career and the musical on MSNBC-TV Nov. 13.
